Time for a post that’s less likely to get downvoted:
Name: MTA but the Program for Action’s Lines Got Built
Images (make sure you crop so it is the image only): https://i.insider.com/51c0d257ecad049f3c000023?width=800&format=jpeg&auto=webp
Caption: What if the MTA had all the funds to build all the PfA routes:
(1): Unchanged
(2): East 180th Street - Sheepshead Bay-Avenue W
(3): Harlem-148th Street - Sheepshead Bay-Avenue W
(4): Woodlawn (Jerome) - New Lots Avenue
<4>: Jerome Avenue Express
(5): East 180th Street/Woodlawn (Park) - Avenue U-Kings Plaza
(6): Unchanged (Rush hour extension to/from South Ferry Loop)
(7): Also unchanged (maybe future provisions for extensions into northern Queens?)
(A): 168th Street - Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue/Rockaway Park - Beach 116th Street (Rockaway Shuttle eliminated)
(B): Inwood - Brighton/Coney Island
(C): Bedford Park - Lefferts Boulevard-119th Street
(D): Norwood - Coney Island
(E): Queens College - WTC
(F): Unchanged (All day Smith Street express service, and select trips run peak express on Culver)
(G): Forest Hills - Church Avenue (you’ll see why below)
(H): Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets - Euclid Avenue (Fulton Local shuttle)
(J): 95th Street - Parsons Boulevard (Skip stop eliminated, (Z) replaced by <J> (makes stops at Marcy, Myrtle, Broadway Junction, Elderts Lane, 102nd-104th Streets and Sutphin Boulevard)
(K): 179th Street - WTC
(L): 8th Avenue - Nostrand Avenue/Starret City-Stanley Avenue
(M): Metropolitan Avenue/Atlantic Avenue - Chambers Street
(N): Unchanged
Alphabet City (S): Houston Street - 3rd Avenue
(Q): Forest Hills - CI
(R): Lexington Avenue - 95th Street
(T): Whitehall Street - Wakefield
(V): Church Avenue/Kings Highway - Springfield Boulevard
(W): Unchanged (runs rush hour only)
(Z): Whitehall Street - Dyre Avenue
Bowling Green (S): refurbished
Times Square (S): Stays the Same
Franklin Avenue (S): Exactly as Is
Culver (S): rebuilt
And we even got rid of some infamous merges:
DeKalb: B, D, J and R stop (N via Sea Beach and Q via West End skips)
59th: A and C are CPW local, B and D are CPW express
Rogers: 2 and 3 via Nostrand, 4 and 5 via Eastern Parkway
36th Street: E and F run via the Express from 53rd, G and Q via local and the V runs on the Super Express, making one stop at Woodside
Hoyt: A and C both run express on Fulton, so the H was invented as a sort of shuttle to run local, so the C can run to Lefferts, the A to the Rockaways, thus removing the shuttle
Broadway (sort of removed): The N and Q both run to the express from Queens, the R comes from the local At 2nd Avenue. If a W comes in, it might delay so it could be eliminated
Other improvements include:
JFK express via Queens SE/63rd/3rd Avenue to the Metro Center
People Movers across Midtown, in case you get lost
A new Williamsburg shuttle runs between Broadway-Lafayette Street and Essex Street to make up for the loss of service
Any thoughts or ideas?
