Hey everyone! I found out that the MTA decided to make the (F) and (M) swap a real thing! On one condition…
This is a Second Avenue bound (M) local train
The next and last stop is, Second Ave
The (M) will mimic the (V) with the (V)‘s old 1989 route on 63rd street, to people raised in the 90s it’s known as the “Orange (6th Avenue) Q”. Not confirmed but it’s possible that A) we get a new Nassau/Centre line that goes to Metropolitan Avenue (Label it the (K) for now) or B) The upper level at Myrtle Avenue is reactivated and a new shuttle will be the Myrtle Avenue Shuttle.
Here’s the breakdown:
•Take the (M) to 2nd and/or the (F) to Delancy
•Transfer to the Centre Street line at Essex Street to the J ((K)) and Z
•Transfer to the Myrtle (S) if Plan B is the reality
•Continue on the (K) if Plan A makes it
B would have some de-interlining benefits (Centre would be isolated and faster, like Canarsie and Flushing)
Whether they pick a option is coming soon but rumor has it this change will happen December
